Esta modificación del Pz IV fue desarrollada en octubre de 1939. El vehículo tenía blindaje mejorado y un mantelete para el cañón externo y mejorado. El carro fue producido en masa hasta mayo de 1940, con un total de 229 vehículos fabricados.

Powerful Tier IV medium tank, leads to the Pz. IV. In many opinions it is a hugely better option than the other Tier IV that goes to the Pz. IV, the Pz. 38Na. It is a great tank to prepare for the Tier V medium, being a very similar tank in many ways. Its top gun is the 75mm stock gun on the Pz. IV, but is quite powerful at Tier IV. Very mobile and stealthy, it is a great ambushing and flanking tank. Its few weaknesses are in its very thin armor and fairly large profile.
