Dieser Versuchs-Jagdpanzer hatte das Geschütz in der Mitte der Wanne, hinter einer Kanonenblende montiert. Ein Prototyp wurde gebaut, die Entwicklung wurde jedoch aufgegeben, als ein neuer Jagdpanzer entwickelt wurde, der auf Basis des Valentine mit einem 17-Pfünder war.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

• Powerful gun selection.

• Howitzer can one-shot some enemies.

• Great hull armor from certain angles.

• Good gun arc.

Cons:

• Slow

• Howitzer has horrible HE ammo.

• Armor is negated by weak gun shield.

• Not very stealthy.

Performance

This Tier 3 TD is a big change for players coming from the UC 2 Pdr. Instead of a fast, stealthy, lighly armored machine, they are confronted with a sluggish beast. The gun selection is great, though the howitzer is a strange balancing act of stats (see below). This machine is horribly slow, and has a strange string of useless engine upgrades. With a slow top speed and bad acceleration, this is not a speedy tank.

While it seems to have an amazing 60mm of armor all around, this is negated by the gun shield, which is only 14mm thick. This can be countered by angling the side armor of this machine at enemies to trick them into bouncing. The howitzer, while capable of one-shotting opponents, has horrible HE penetration and a long aim time coupled with bad accuracy. The upgraded 6 pdr is a less hilarious, but capable substitute. This machine requires the user to juggle low mobility, conditional armor, and a lack of stealth to be successful, but it is worth the while.
