Der Cromwell wurde 1941 bis 1942 von BRC&W entwickelt. 1.070 Fahrzeuge wurden von Ende 1943 bis 1945 gebaut. Sie wurden hauptsächlich von der britischen Armee in den Feldzügen in Nordwest-Europa von 1944 bis 1945 eingesetzt.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

• Highest top speed of all tier 6 mediums

• Extreme mobility allows it to get from one side of the map to another with ease

• Decently high penetrating gun with high ROF

• Occasionally lucky bounces may occur due to tracks eating up the shell

• Good turret and track traverse allows you to circle nearly almost any tank at tier 6 (If the terrain allows it that is)

Cons:

• Paper thin armor

• Basically no gun mantlet whatsoever

• May be set on fire easily when shot from the rear

• May take frequent crew damage

• May drift over uneven terrain, cool but extremely dangerous

Performance

The Cromwell combines great speed, acceleration and manoeuvrability with a reasonably powerful and fast firing gun. It is one of the best flankers and outruns almost all tier 6 tanks (well, maybe it does already) Due to its speed, it can be the key to break stalemates by charging forward and baiting the shots before the rest of the the team converges. Using its incredible mobility, its high ROF gun, coupled with adrenaline, gives you the ability to vaporize many tier 6 and even tier 7 tanks, considering you're using it right and most if not all shots penetrate.

However, your speed is basically the only self defense you have, the armor is terrible, and while your tracks may sometimes eat up damage for you, it not reliable as an armor protection, and you should always keep yourself moving, as your soft armor attracts many enemies to point their guns at you.
