|Anno= A "high-speed battleship" project which preceded the Iowa-class ships. The main battery comprised 457 mm guns placed in twin turrets, which were developed alongside the project of the ship herself in 1938.

|Performance= ' is loaded with so many gimmicks that any high tier Soviet, French, or Royal Navy battleship would be envious of her. A low number of hard-hitting guns, superior secondaries, and a special set of consumables make this "paper ship" perform very differently from her US counterparts like Iowa or Missouri.

' comes packed with six 18-inch guns in three twin-turrets, an arrangement that is (rather unfortunately) familiar to Gneisenau captains. She does comes with a much more forgiving dispersion curve and a 26 second reload to compensate, though this is but a small mercy as ' will most certainly be lagging behind other battleships in terms of damage output. Still, her broadside power is not to be trifled with, considering she has the highest AP citadel damage in the game at 15,750 per shell thanks to her hefty 18-inch AP shells. Needless to say, anyone giving a broadside to what equates to roughly 2/3 of a Yamato-class battleship's main battery is just asking to be sunk.

Adding to that, '’s secondaries are practically identical to those found on Massachusetts, with the same improved range, rate of fire and accuracy. She also borrows Massachusetts’s unique Repair Party (While active, restores a percentage of the ship's health points each second.) with a faster cooldown, and Bourgogne’s Engine Boost (While active, increases a ship's speed by a fixed percentage.) which increases her speed to nearly 38 knots when active. This does seem to set ' up as a mid- and close-range brawler. This isn't really the case as ' simply isn't as durable with a more vulnerable citadel, and simply doesn't have the damage output to do so. Generally, players should try to assess the situation to see when is the best opportunity for them to charge in guns blazing or flank around using '’s blistering pace to catch an unaware enemy on the broadside. This is the most efficient way to take advantage of '’s main guns and secondaries to maximise their damage output.

' is undoubtedly the most unique amongst US battleships and because of that, she is pretty fun and comfortable to play. Treating her like an uptiered Massachusetts with more firepower and speed certainly isn't a bad way to play, and it will reward you for it.


  • Highest alpha damage per shell of any battleship in the game, and can overmatch 30 mm plating.

  • Low number of main guns per broadside makes missed shots particularly painful.
  • Has the 2nd lowest DPM in its tier despite a faster reload speed.
  • Shares similar armor scheme with Iowa, which makes her vulnerable to citadel hits and plunging fire.
  • Low muzzle velocity on her main guns.
  • Fairly poor torpedo protection (26%).

|Research= As a premium ship, ' doesn't have any upgrades to research.


|Upgrades= The recommended upgrades for ' are as follows:

|CommanderSkills= Key skills for ' commanders include Priority Target, Adrenaline Rush, Basic Firing Training, Superintendent, Advanced Firing Training, and Manual Fire Control for Secondary Armament if going for a secondaries build. Alternatively, Basics of Survivability, Fire Prevention, and Concealment Expert are suitable for a more classic battleship survivability build.

|Consumables= ' can equip the following consumables:


As a premium ship, ' comes included with Type 10 camouflage that lowers her detection radius, reduces the accuracy of incoming shells, reduces her repair costs, and increases the amount of experience she earns.

|Signals= Georgia captains should mount standard signal flags to improve the ship's performance in battle. Sierra Mike (+5% to the ship's maximum speed.) flags are highly recommended to increase the ship's top speed. India Delta (+20% to the amount of HP recovered when the Repair Party consumable is used.) and India Yankee (-20% to fire duration.) flags should be mounted to improve the ship's survivability. November Foxtrot (-5% reload time on all consumables.) flags can also be mounted to decrease consumable cooldown time. Lastly, economic and special signal flags can be mounted to increase the ship's economic gains per battle.





Goergia is a fictionalized version of Iowa Scheme IV, from May 1938. Rather than the 9 406mm/45 caliber guns that this design was planned to have, however, Georgia is represented in game with 3 twin 457mm/47 caliber Mark A guns. During the design stage for what eventually became the Iowa-class battleship, the US Navy considered designs that included 457mm guns. However, the designers found that the penetration difference was marginal compared to the 406mm/50, and the increased weight meant that only two 457mm guns could be installed for the same weight as three 406mm/50 guns. Since the size of American battleships was limited by the Panama Canal, fitting 9 457mm guns would require massive compromises in either armor or speed. If neither of those would be sacrificed, then the ship would not be able to fit through the Panama Canal. Eventually, the design progressed and was eventually laid down and finished as the Iowa-class.
