Performance
Coming from the B-C 12t and its predecessors you should have realized by now what the gameplay of this line in the french techtree looks like as the "babybat" is more of an upgunned light than a fullborn medium tank. So you would be wise to embrace a cautious playstyle if you want to be successfull. Everything can pen you even with HE and your modules tend to get destroyed a lot. Most notably the engine can be damaged by hits from the front. Furthermore you have little to leverage in your usual hulldown or cornerpeeking engagements: subpar gun depression, bad alpha damage, atrocious aim time and as mentioned no armor whatsoever.
Where you start to shine is with your clip potential and your mobility. On paper your firepower is amazing. With 1800 hp burst damage you can clip away many tanks on the battlefield from full health and even higher tier opponents if slightly damaged. Be advised however to take careful aim as otherwise you will miss or bounce many of your shots even on closer ranges due to your mediocre gun handling. Your clip reload which is an agonizing 40+ seconds long should further encourage you to not waste your shots as it leaves you not only completely defenseless but also unable to influence the outcome of the battle for almost a minute. In between magazines you have the opportunity to get around the battlefield to where your firepower can best be utilized next thanks to your blistering speed. Try to always keep it unpredictable for the enemy where you are. Keep moving around the battlefield to maximize the use of your very niche firepower as seeking unfavourable fights usually gets punished rigorously. Ideally every time you finish reloading you should be opening up on an unsuspecting enemy. And be sure to stay out of focus of multiple enemies as it takes rather long to empty your whole magazine and everybody will go for the guaranteed penetration on the french tank even when other targets are available. You can also act as a scout if necessary but dont be wreckless. Although your camo value is pretty neat being a medium tank it is not quite light tank values when on the move and also with 380m you have a kind of low view range for tier 9 standards. Your gun is far too precious to be taken out the game. Preferably you want to save your hit points for later on in the match when enemy lines have thinned out so it is far easier to hunt down and hammer away at isolated tanks without them being able to do much in return.
The key of mastering this tank is to know exactly when to engage and even more so when NOT to engage. It is very tricky to balance passiveness and aggressiveness but when played according to its strengths the "babybat" can be a true blast to play.
