In 1954 the Chinese government considered the possibility of launching production of the T-34-85 in China. At the same time, Chinese engineers proposed an alternative project: the T-34-1. While based on the T-34-85, the T-34-1's transmission compartment and suspension were to be rearranged, reducing overall weight and giving a lower hull. In 1954, several designs of the vehicle, with varying turrets and armament, were developed. However, a prototype was never built.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

• Low profile and good maneuverability
• Excellent camouflage values
• Great alpha damage
• Good penetration
• Excellent frontal turret armor

Cons:

• Poor frontal hull armor and gun depression
• Weaker engine power compared to other Tier 7 mediums
• Low ammo capacity with the top gun (34 rounds)
• Smallest HP pool of all Tier 7 mediums
• Prone to module damage, fire and ammo rack explosion

Performance

• It's effectively a highly mobile scout sniper, and despite what some might say, the Chinese mediums are not brawlers. Your real strengths lie in being able to passive scout effectively, and quickly do a lot of damage to key enemy targets early on.
