Performance
A one of a kind Premium aircraft, the XFL-1 combines a well-balanced aircraft with a powerful 37mm cannon. The XFL-1 has acceptable speed, maneuverability, and altitude range for a fighter plane; and can generally hold its own in a dogfight. What makes this plane unique is the powerful 37mm cannon on its nose, capable of destroying planes in short order or tearing off chunks of health from tougher aircraft. However, as with all large-caliber cannons in the game, the 37mm overheats quickly. The rule of thumb (barring pilot skills) is that this cannon overheats after 10 consecutive shots. Fortunately this cannon cools down almost as quick in roughly 2-3 seconds. Learning how to lead shots and pacing bursts of fire is essential to making the most of the XFL-1, and this plane makes for a good training plane to learn these skills for higher-tier planes with similar armaments. The XFL-1's maneuverability helps immensely in bringing your cannon to bear, or chasing down and finishing off planes with the 7.62mm machineguns. Pick your targets, pace your shots, and with enough practice you'll be able to tear apart any plane in your sights with the XFL-1's famous cannon.
