Arizona — Encouraçado Americano Promo Premium Tier VI.
A U.S. Navy battleship with a conventional layout, with two turrets forward and two aft and her armor distributed according to the "all or nothing" concept. She was designed to engage enemy ships at long range. By the outbreak of World War II, the ship received more powerful torpedo protection, which slightly reduced her maneuverability.
USS Arizona was destroyed during the 7 December 1941 sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii with heavy loss of life. Her remains can be seen today at the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor.
Arizona first went on sale on 4 July 2016 on the NA servers, and on 9 July 2016 on the EU servers.

Performance
Armor Layout and Survivability
Arizona 's armor layout will be familiar for players who have played the other US standard-type battleships. Similar to New Mexico, Arizona is covered in 26mm exterior armor, including her bow, stern, and deck. Though she will bounce 356mm and smaller AP rounds when angled, AP BB rounds of 380mm or larger can overmatch her. In practice, this means Arizona can resist most Tier V and VI BBs by angling, though she can struggle against Tier VII and VIII BBs as they carry larger caliber guns. 26mm armor is also resistant to most DD and CL caliber HE rounds, though IFHE equipped or Tier VIII CLs can still penetrate her armor. To offset her mediocre armor, she sports the second-largest HP pool among her Tier VI counterparts at 57,400 HP. In addition, she carries a sturdy torpedo protection modifier of 37%, only surpassed by New Mexico. Combined with her small turning radius and responsive rudder, she fares better than other BBs at surviving torpedo attacks. A well captained Arizona will tank considerable amounts of damage, remaining a threat even into the late game where many other BBs would be out of heals.
Main Armament
While her armament is very similar to her tech tree counterpart New Mexico, there are a few key differences that make Arizona 's guns stand out. Though they share the same caliber, Arizona carries the older /45-caliber gun compared to New Mexico 's /50 caliber gun. In-game, this translates to a weaker gun performance including slightly slower shells, slightly lower AP damage, and slightly lower AP penetration. In addition, Arizona is among the slowest reloading BBs in her bracket, being the slowest reloading Tier VI BB and only being faster than Agincourt, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Her turrets are also the slowest rotating at her bracket, requiring 60s to make a 180° turn. Worse yet, her smaller caliber 356mm guns cannot overmatch the bow and stern of Tier VI and above BBs as well as US and German CAs. However, what makes Arizona 's guns so terrifying is her improved 1.8 sigma, making her the most accurate 12 gun BB in the game. Compared to other 12 gun BBs with 1.5 sigma, Arizona will consistently land more shots on target thanks to her improved 1.8 sigma improving her accuracy. She rewards accurate marksmanship, consistently dealing massive damage to any broadside target she finds.
Secondary Armament
Similar to her tech tree counterpart, Arizona secondary battery can be considered mediocre at best. Her short range of 5km and poor damage output renders them ineffective even under ideal conditions. Though they can light fires, players should not depend on their secondaries for effective damage, especially against healthy ships charging in to launch torpedoes. Her secondary performance does not significantly improve even when taking secondary upgrades and captain skills, so players are advised to improve other aspects of the ship.
Anti-air defense
Arizona 's AA can only be described as woefully inadequate. Her low AA firepower and relatively short-range means CVs will regularly launch 2 or even 3 consecutive attacks if she is isolated. It is best to seek out allied support to discourage enemy CV focus, whether it be sailing near friendly AA or requesting CV fighter support.
Maneuverability
Arizona 's maneuverability is a tale of two worlds. On one hand, her standard type US BB design results in her tying New Mexico and W. Virgina 1941for the slowest Tier VI BB at 21.0kts. She will struggle to keep up with the ever-changing battlefield, whether it be escaping from overwhelming forces or exploiting openings.
On the other hand, Arizona has a small turning radius of just 640m; useful for evading torpedo strikes or angling to the enemy. Though her turning ability is hampered by a relatively sluggish rudder shift, this can be fixed with the right upgrade.
Concealment
When fully built for concealment, Arizona can achieve a relatively stealthy surface detection of 12.6km. This low detection complements her playstyle as she can remain hidden before she unleashes a devastating salvo on unsuspecting enemies. This also aids her defense as she doesn't have to run as far to drop detection. Skilled captains tend to position their ship at the edge of their detection radius, getting as close as possible to maximize their accuracy while retaining the ability to go dark.
Gameplay
Arizona plays very similarly to other Tier IV - VII standard type US BBs, being sluggish and modestly armored but carrying powerful guns. Players familiar with the tech tree US BB line will feel right at home as they share the same playstyle. Arizona should ideally play around 11-14km from the enemy, close enough for accurate salvoes but also far enough to escape should Arizona be in danger of sinking. Due to her slow speed, Arizona should generally avoid positioning on the flanks as it isolates her from the rest of the fight should she be needed elsewhere. Positioning near the center offers more opportunities, but this works both ways and the player must position carefully to avoid too much focus fire. Regardless of where she spawns, Arizona players should seek opportunities to create crossfires with other BBs, positioning in such a way that the enemy must present broadside to her or her allies.
Arizona 's power comes from her accurate guns and thus should focus on eliminating vulnerable targets to maximize her game impact. Broadside ships, DDs within 10km, and stationary CVs are all great targets that she can heavily damage. As her turrets have very slow rotation, using the ship's rudder may be necessary to help swing the guns on target. While the 35s reload can be punishing, players should be using this downtime to assess the situation and mark possible targets for destruction.
Though Arizona is a powerful ship, she is not without her weaknesses. 21.0kts is very slow for a BB, and she can easily be run down by more powerful ships if she isn't careful. While her armor scheme is adequate against lower tier ships, it is notably less effective against higher tier ships so players should avoid tanking high tier ships for extended periods. Finally, just like in real life, Arizona is extremely vulnerable to CV attacks due to her lack of AA. If she is unfortunate to be in a CV match, consider sailing near allies for AA support.
Overall Arizona has the potential to be a powerful BB, carrying matches with her excellent gunnery. Fans of the standard type US BB or collectors who want a piece of history in their port should strongly consider obtaining her.
Prós:
- One of the highest hitpoint pools among Tier 6 battleships
- Heavy broadside of twelve (12) powerful guns in four triple turrets
- Reasonably good dispersion and sigma, Arizona's salvoes can be devastating
- Thickly armored citadel block
- Very tight turn radius for a battleship
Contras:
- Horrible main battery reload speed and turret traverse speed. Though the reload is better than tier 5 Oklahoma
- Base main battery range is fairly lacking
- Mostly covered with 26mm common plating, very vulnerable to HE spam
- Weak AA suite, very vulnerable to planes
- Extremely slow, with a top speed of only 21 knots

Camuflagem
As a premium ship, Arizona comes included with Type 10 camouflage that lowers her detection radius, reduces the accuracy of incoming shells, reduces her repair costs, and increases the amount of experience she earns.
Sinais
Arizona captains should mount the standard flags to improve the ship's performance in battle. India Delta (), November Foxtrot (), and India Yankee () are all recommended to improve the ship's survivability. Captains may also find Sierra Mike () useful to increase the ship's top speed. Lastly, economic and special signal flags can be mounted to improve the ship’s economic gains per battle.
