The AMX 105 AM mle. 47 is a French tier 4 self-propelled gun.
A 105-mm SPG design project developed by the Construction Bureau in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Paris, France). The draft was ready in September 1947. However, development was discontinued and the project was canceled.
This is the first typical French artillery available for the players. The powerful, accurate gun and the great mobility makes this tank a fearful enemy and a fun to play SPG.
The AMX 105 AM mle. 47 marks the end of its French self-propelled gun line.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Gun range: stock: 980m, top: 1280m
- Very wide horizontal gun arc of 30 degrees, both left and right
- High ammo count (60 HE shells)
- Good mobility, top speed, and concealment
- Works well in TD mode
Cons:
- Flat shell trajectory (but which increases effective accuracy)
- Tiny splash radius
- No gun depression with the second gun
Performance
Compared to other Tier IV artillery the AMX 105 AM mle. 47 has the highest alpha damage, best gun traverse limits (60 degrees total), and best concealment in all aspects -- stationary, on the move, and while firing. Gun traverse speed is the worst in class but still acceptable. Accuracy is second best by two ticks but effective accuracy is increased by its low shell trajectory. Forward mobility is also second best -- good enough to quickly get to where it needs to go -- but its reverse speed is best at 14kph. Aim time is about in the middle of the pack and useable; so is damage per minute.
The combination of high alpha and second-best penetration allows you to damage anything you hit, but there's no chance at all to stun (which isn't common at this tier anyway). Overall a fun and effective SPG to play.
Early Research
- Nothing transfers from the Lorraine 39L AM
- First research the AMX 105 AM mle. 47 modifié suspension, then the 105mm obusier mle. 1950 gun
- Then research your choice of the SCR 528F radio or Mathis 250 engine, and then the other
