Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Access to "rapid mode" - gains improved top and reverse speed at the cost of steering
- Good penetration, shell velocity and gun handling
- Good HE penetration, ideal to counter enemy light tanks and artillery, or hit sides/rear of heavier targets
- Good gun depression and very fast turret traverse speed
- Very good camouflage values, also a fairly small target
Cons:
- Virtually unarmored with a very low hitpoint pool, poor survivability
- Pathetic viewrange, even when fully boosted it does not reach 400 metres
- Loses a lot of speed if the wheels get damaged
- Weak fuel tanks, high risk of being set on fire
- Very small wheels compared to other wheeled vehicles - comparable to AMD 178B
Performance
Unlike the previous and later vehicles the Lynx 6x6 is not particularly good at being an aggressive scout. Despite the improved mobility it turns very slowly in rapid mode, preventing it from dodging shots as easily as the later EBR's.
However it still did improve over its predecessor. Its 90mm complements its play style well, with overall reliable stats. It also introduces Rapid mode -- at the cost of turning speed the top speed, reverse speed (and for some strange reason engine power?) all increase significantly, letting it be very mobile, and unlike vehicles such as the CS-63 or UDES 03 the process of switching modes is near instant, letting it swap between turning and moving very fast easily.
The Lynx plays mostly as a passive scout that may snipe with its very good gun, but it must take care not to be spotted -- very poor view range and armor will let it get destroyed easily.
In late phases of a round the value of a Lynx is a lot higher -- if it has enough HP its mobility becomes a huge advantage, as it can clean up lone tanks very easily provided they aren't highly mobile.
Like the previous and later vehicles it still has very poor view range at 310 meters, very low HP and armor, as well as a low DPM.
Overall, like the other wheeled vehicles when played well it is very rewarding but usually punishes mistakes harshly.
- In Update 1.13 the Lynx was nerfed:
Gun handling from 0.08/0.08/0.04 (Top configuration) -> 0.09/0.09/0.05 HE pen on 90mms from 90 -> 75
Early Research
- The top radio carries over from the Hotchkiss EBR and should be installed immediately
- Research the suspensions for a much needed steering improvement
- Research the engines
- Research the top 90mm gun

Historical Accuracy Errata
Panhard AML 6x6 is a fictional vehicle. The six-wheeled successor to the AML was the Panhard ERC (Engin à Roues, Canon/Wheeled Vehicle, Cannon) series. The "Panhard AML Lynx 6x6" very closely resembles one version of this vehicle, the ERC 90 F1 Lynx.
- One of guns: 60mm breech-loading Brandt mortar, is missing
- The 75mm gun is incorrect
- Only the 90mm D.921 gun is correct
- This vehicle in real life had only two axles
- This vehicle was powered by a Panhard flat 4-cylinder engine with 90 horsepower, but in the game this engine is missing
- The top speed of the AML was only 60kph
- Ammo capacity was 20 rounds for the 90mm cannon and 60 rounds for a mortar, but the mortar is missing
- The 90mm cannon F3 is the same, like the gun monuted on ARL 44, AMX M4 mle.45, but penetration is not consistent
