The HWK 30 is a German tier 8 premium light tank.
The vehicle was proposed as a further development of the Ru 251 and primarily intended for export, particularly to Mexico. This variant inherited the same armor and armament from its predecessor, but featured an elongated hull and an additional support roller. The vehicle existed only in blueprints.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Good all-around gun with good alpha, reload, and penetration
- Great gun depression
- Premium HEAT ammo has high velocity and HE ammo has high penetration
- Great base view range (expert crew can reach 450m without modules or food)
- Good mobility, acceleration, and top speed
Cons:
- Non-existent armor, vulnerable to all sources of damage
- Camouflage value is average for a light tank
- Cannot depress its gun when facing the rear, as the engine deck prevents it
- Sluggish turns at high speeds makes dodging shots difficult. Handbrake turns are a must!
- Overshadowed by stronger competitors such as the LT-432
Performance
Just like an Ru 251. More or less a lighter version of Leopard Prototyp A that is designed for recon, keep moving with your amazing speed and maneuver when you can, but make sure not to turn around too much as this will slow you down a lot. Avoid crashing into other tanks when at high speed as you'll lose a lot of health due to your light weight and thin armor. Use your DPM and fire APCR or HEAT at enemies whenever you're not scouting. If you're spotted, never stand still, as any shot that hits you will penetrate, or at best HE not penetrate for full damage. Play it like a standard issue light tank with few - if any - downsides, but remember that it offers a lot more mobility and gun depression than most other lights, especially at this tier.
