The Rheinmetall Panzerwagen is a German tier 10 light tank.
On June 8, 1957, Rheinmetall recorded a patent for a new light tank with an oscillating turret and a gun with trunnions. The proposed design allowed engineers to equip light vehicles with powerful 90-mm and 105-mm guns while preserving the minimum vehicle height. Rheinmetall did not have their own chassis for the subsequent tank production, and they offered their turret to other plants. The vehicle is a project on the basis of the Hanomag and Henschel chassis. Existed only in blueprints.
The Rheinmetall Panzerwagen marks the end of its German light line.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Excellent aim time, good shell velocity, good penetration
- Great gun depression (-10 degrees)
- Great speed and acceleration, and quick hull traverse
- Joint best viewrange in the game (420 meters)
Cons:
- Second lowest alpha damage in tier/class and fairly long reload, DPM is poor, but greatly improved since update 1.20
- Extremely thin armour, easily penetrated by almost all HE shells
- Large profile and average camouflage for a light tank
- Prone to flipping when turning at high speed
Performance
A downscaled, pre-buff Leopard 1, the Rheinmetall Panzerwagen plays very similarly to its MT cousin. It should engage targets at medium and even long range due to its abysmal survivability, relocate where needed thanks to its great speed and mobility, and focus on passive scouting with its high view range. Active scouting is to be avoided at all costs due to your low camouflage parameters and bulky size compared to other peers, such as the T100LT and EBR 105. Plan encounters in advance, as your large thin-armored boxy profile and low alpha damage will not do you any favors should you find yourself stuck in a crossfire or prolonged engagement. In conclusion, the RHM is a more flexible medium-light hybrid that can perform well provided the user keeps a high degree of situational awareness and map dynamics in mind. However, since update 1.20, the Rheinmetall Panzerwagen recieved buffs to its gun handling and aimtime. Most importantly however, the reload was decreased 8.8 to 7.8 seconds, giving the RHM much better dpm and rate of fire more on par with it's peers.
