The T1 Cunningham is an American tier 1 light tank.
The experimental T1E1 light tank designed by the Cunningham company was a further development of the T1 tank. By April 1928, four vehicles were produced. After the vehicle underwent trials in November 1928, a decision was made to enhance the armor, which led to creating the subsequent modification designated the T1E2.
The T1 Cunningham leads to the M2 Light Tank.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Good engine power and top speed
- Semi-automatic gun
- Very high burst damage from 37 mm Semiautomatic Gun M1924 can kill every tier 1 tank if all shells hit the target
- Good magazine capacity
- Fast reload on 37 mm Gun M1916
Cons:
- Thin hull and turret armour
- Low penetration
- Poor aim time and gun elevation
- No longer gets the powerful 20mm autocannon or the Browning since update 9.14
Performance
This tank is considerably faster than other tier 1 vehicles, making it a good offensive tank in early battles. Fully upgraded, it is a nimble but fragile tank, so staying mobile and performing hit-and-run attacks is essential. Other than its speed, something unique to this tank at this tier is the semi-automatic gun. This gun has a 5-round magazine and functions the same way as the French autoloaders. They can fire their whole magazine in quick succession, but then have a long reload time for next five rounds. Remember, every tank the T1 Cunningham encounters will have more armour, so try to avoid drawn-out slugging matches.
With its speed, it can get into auto-cannon range more easily than other tier 1 tanks, but the problem is often staying alive long enough to kill the target at that range. Also, the reload time for the auto-cannon on this tank is absurdly long (more than twice as long as any other tier 1 tank), giving it a distinct disadvantage. However, you can nullify this disadvantage by using the terrain, setting up traps that result in severely damaging or killing you opponents quickly, if done correctly.
Please note the Map Restrictions for tier 1 tanks, if you consider purchasing a camouflage skin/paint job for this tank.
Early Research
- Research the 37 mm Semiautomatic Gun M1924, as it has better penetration, a higher rate of fire, and is more accurate than the starting gun. It is also the only thing you can research at this tier, besides the next tier tank.
