The UDES 15/16 is a Swedish tier 10 medium tank.
Further development of the UDES 14. The project combined the best elements of the UDES 15 (developed by Bofors) and the UDES 16 (developed by Hägglunds). The project became the main variant of traditional design for a Swedish tank, but later it was discontinued in favor of a variant with a remotely controlled turret. The full-scale prototype was built, and elements of the vehicle were used in subsequent Swedish projects.
The UDES 15/16 marks the end of its Swedish medium line.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Hydropneumatic suspensions - can improve gun depression/elevation at low speed or when stationary
- High alpha damage (joint highest for a Tier 10 medium tank) and good DPM
- Extremely sloped turret front and upper hull, can bounce many shots
- Very good acceleration, reverse speed and hull traverse speed
- Low profile, good camouflage values
Cons:
- Armor relies entirely on sloping for protection, and is very thin
- Shell velocity and accuracy are subpar, can make sniping tricky
- Extremely vulnerable to HE damage, especially artillery
- Viewrange is rather poor for a Tier 10 medium tank
Performance
This tank can be a terrifying foe to face on the battlefield, especially if it manages to get into a hulldown position and make us of its features. With a 440 alpha damage gun, it can make some enemies think twice about pushing you. With the right setup, the gun can also be rather effective, though be somewhat trollish at times, particularly when firing on the move or rotating the turret. Also, given its camo rating, it can be rather sneaky; it can serve as a passive scout if you REALLY want to/know what you are doing.
This tank does have its fair share of weaknesses. It can be prone to being set on fire (as any UDES player can attest), and high penetration HE shells can make quick work of you. In addition, while the power-to-weight ratio can seem respective or even decent, it may feel somewhat sluggish at times, depending on the terrain and incline. Despite having APCR rounds as its standard, the shell velocity isn't particularly impressive, and the HEAT shells may feel a little lacklustre given that they only have 310mm of penetration.
With that being said, this tank is a great addition to most players' garage.
