The Sherman VC Firefly is a British tier 6 premium medium tank.
The British Sherman VC Firefly (A Squadron of the 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry) was named after the Soviet town of Velikiye Luki. On August 8, 1944, the British organized an ambush at the edge of the wood near Saint-Aignan-de-Cramesnil and Sento. Joe Ekins, the Sherman gunner, laid fire on moving Tigers and destroyed all three German vehicles within 12 minutes. As it turned out, one of the tanks under No. 007 was commanded by the most successful German tank ace, Michael Wittmann, also known as "The Black Baron". However, it still remains unclear who destroyed Wittmann's tank as several British vehicles were engaged in that battle.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- See Sherman Firefly for more details
- Improved gun handling and RoF over the techtree Firefly
- Has straight cornered hull similar to the Sherman III, easier to angle when required
- Has small strip of spaced armor "collar" protecting the turret ring
- A bit higher top speed
Cons:
- Less engine power than a fully upgraded tech tree Firefly, somewhat hampering its mobility
- The armor patches protecting critical parts is absent, thus less lucky bounce would occur
Performance
Pretty much a clone of the famous Sherman Firefly, inheriting its playstyle. Apart from the unique exterior style and welded hull, differences are all but minor. Better firepower does make it generally considered a directly supporter, but not by any large degree. Play as one would in a regular Firefly, the extra credit & XP income will not be disappointing.

Historical Accuracy Errata
While the Sherman Firefly was capable of carrying 77 rounds of ammunition, design features of the tank meant only 23 rounds were easily and readily available when the tank was in action.
- The Royal Armoured Corps recognition mark (or flash) was only used until mid-1942; the Sherman VC Firefly entered service in May 1944.
