The 53TP Markowskiego is a Polish tier 8 heavy tank.
A proposed plan for a heavy tank that was to be developed in 1940. Due to the outbreak of World War II, development was discontinued at the blueprints stage.
Markowskiego relates to the name of a person, presumably the creator of the tank. "-ego" is a grammatical suffix indicating ownership or posession. It could be interpreted as "Markowski's Tank" or similar.
The 53TP Markowskiego leads to the 50TP Tyszkiewicza.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Strong top gun with high alpha damage, stock cannon is essentially T32 top cannon
- Good mobility when fully upgraded
- Good accuracy, aimtime and dispersion values
- Good gun depression
- Well-sloped upgraded turret offers good protection when hull-down
Cons:
- Hull armor is overall weak
- Below average healthpool for a Tier 8 heavy tank
- Very long stock grind
Performance
In stock configuration the tank is not bad, just pay attention to the roof and cupola of the stock turret, and use premium rounds when the circumstances demand. After researching and mounting the upgraded suspension and the upgraded turret, you have to research the 122mm D-25T (tier 8 gun) to be able to pick the 122mm wz.53 (tier 9 top gun), however it is advised to keep the stock 105mm gun, as it offers better reload, accuracy, aimtime, and penetration, compared to the 122mm D-25T (whose only redeeming feature is the alpha damage).
53TP seems to be a sturdier heavy tank than it's little brother 45 TP. This is true for some aspects, but it´s a drawback for others. The tank has better armor than it's predecessor, but it´s not enough for a tier 8 heavy tank. Side and hull armor are still too weak to sidescrape, and the long reload of your top gun means that you are an easy target after firing. Furthermore, your big profile and the decreased p/w ratio (than the 45 tp) won't allow you to play like a medium anymore. Nevertheless, the good gun depression and your turret armor let you play quite well in hull down positions. Play most of the time like a support heavy; avoid ridge lines and everything will be alright (if SPGS don´t focus you).
Early Research
- First of all research the upgraded suspension to be able to mount the other modules
- Then research the turret
- The 122mm D-25T offers no real improvements over the stock gun, but must be researched to gain access to the top gun
- Mount the top gun 122 mm wz.53
- Mount the top engine to get a little p/w ratio improvement
- Research the top radio for last
