The Škoda T 56 is a Czechoslovakian tier 8 premium heavy tank.
In the 1950s, Czechoslovakia continued developing original designs of combat vehicles based on concepts of the Soviet tank-building school combined with its own ideas. One of these projects was the T-56 developed by Škoda, but it was discontinued due to the unification of armament of Warsaw Pact countries. No prototypes were built.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Great per-shot alpha damage, one of the highest in Tier 8
- 2-round autoloader with decent clip reload speed and DPM
- Strong turret armor with additional spaced armor in the front
- Good gun depression (-8 degrees)
- Reverse-angled side armor, great for sidescraping
Cons:
- Poor gun handling, aim time and accuracy
- Low standard ammo penetration
- Second slowest Czechoslovakian heavy tank
- Large turret and hull, can be easily hit by artillery
- Fairly poor viewrange
Performance
The Skoda T56 is one of the best premium tanks in the market. Similar to the Polish heavies, it is a hybrid between the Soviet and the German heavies albeit this Skoda is more based on the Soviets. The ammunition however is not, with only 208mm of penetration on standard and 248 on premium rounds. Both of which are unacceptable for today's meta of tier eight penetration. You will have a hard time penetrating same tier armored heavy (and some medium) tanks, especially when angled. Keep in mind that the premium shell is still AP and not HEAT or APCR. The 940 damage alpha is quite surprising when both shells penetrate. Do not forget you have a 130mm gun at this tier, so tanks like Strv S1's front can be overmatched. Use this as your advantage to compensate for your low penetration. The gun handling is quite poor besides the turret traverse dispersion.
Skoda T 56 comes with Survival slot though there are not specific survival equipment that are very useful besides Vents. Vertical Stabilizer and a Rotation Mechanism or Gun Laying Drive would help you aim and snap better as well as to deliver your follow up shot as quickly as possible. Faster aim time can be switched for a Turbo as your secondary equipment loadout for maps you need it for.
The armor on this tank is the hidden gem. The turret has high 200mm to low 300mm without using depression which is quite good. The front of the turret is rounded like soviet high tier mediums. The hull armor layout is unique when angled can give any tanks without 200mm or more penetration a hard time to shoot you anywhere on your tank, due to the side sloped armor. Against low tier enemies you can over angle to use your side armor for an auto-bounce and to give your upper frontal plate 200mm of effective armor. The only place that can be shot when doing this generally is between your tracks and through the fenders. Moving around will give your enemies harder time to able to shoot between the tracks as tracks will absorb some shots.
