The Caernarvon Action X is a British tier 8 premium heavy tank.
A further development of the vehicles designed by the English Electric company under the "universal tank" concept (FV200). The project was discontinued in favor of the A41 tank (Centurion). No prototypes were built.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Quick reload speed for a heavy tank
- Very good penetration with standard (AP) ammunition
- Good turret armour, with screens as additional protection against HEAT and HE
- Great gun depression (-10 degrees)
- Decent mobility
Cons:
- Pathetic alpha damage, worst in tier/class
- Poor on the move dispersion
- Bad hull armour, only the upper plate has good durability
- Vulnerable ammo rack located right behind the thin lower plate
- Overall a worse tank when compared to techtree counterpart Caernarvon
Performance
A former iteration of the techtree Caernarvon turned into a premium tank, the Caernarvon Action X plays very much the same as its techtree counterpart, albeit with better rate of fire at the expense of worse per-shot alpha damage. It uses the standard crew slots of high tier British heavy tanks, making it an ideal crew trainer for tanks such as the FV215b, the T95/FV4201 Chieftain and the Super Conqueror.
Early Research
Premium tank, comes elite in its stock configuration.

Historical Accuracy Errata
Although both Caernarvon and the Centurion resilient mantlet were developed these were separate projects. The burster plates were never used on Caernarvon or the resilient turret being only ever used for HESH testing. The Caernarvon Action X never existed in blueprints, plans, papers or minutes and remains a purely fictional vehicle..
