The T95/FV4201 Chieftain is a British tier 10 premium heavy tank.
Work on the new heavy tank started in the U.K. in 1951. It was planned to provide for the armament interchangeability of the FV4201 Chieftain and the American T95 tanks (including turrets). The project was discontinued because of issues with crew training, as the members of the vehicle crew would have had to operate two different artillery and gun control systems at once.
While this is not exactly what the WOT community asked for, this is the closest relative to that of the much-requested FV4201 Chieftain main battle tank that was implemented into the game. The T95/FV4201 Chieftain represents the characteristics of the Main Battle Tank (MBT) as its original counterparts (FV4201 Chieftain and T95 medium tank) were designed for. It has a good mix of protection, damage output, and mobility, and can be used in multiple roles.
The T95/FV4201 Chieftain was added in update 1.3 as a Clan Wars reward tank.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Arguably the best 120mm gun currently in the game
- Near-impenetrable turret front and thick, very sloped upper glacis
- Great gun depression, can use most hull down positions
- Good mobility (46km/hr max)
- Great viewrange at 410 metres stock
Cons:
- Relatively thin side compared to other heavies, although sideskirts nullify this somewhat
- Lacks durability outside of hulldown positions
- 120mm has longer reload time than other 120mm guns ever since nerf
- Slightly lower premium ammo pen than other HTs (also a product of the nerf)
Performance
Plays like a Super Conqueror, but with some key differences. Like the aforementioned tech tree tank, it excels going hull down, and due to its superior mobility it can get there much easier. It additionally has superior alpha damage and much better overall turret protection, at the cost of worse gun handling, hull armor and DPM.
Due to its good mix of characteristics, it is multi-role; the mix of good mobility, fantastic turret armor and good gun depression let it be capable virtually anywhere.
The Chieftain has no significant drawbacks, with the most prevalent ones being the low HP (2200) and a fairly low armored hull. Due to the overall strength of the tank however, it is extremely recommended to focus the T95/FV4201 whenever possible.
