The Spähpanzer SP I C is a German tier 7 light tank.
The reconnaissance tank destroyer was being developed by Hotchkiss and Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz companies from 1956 through 1962 in order to increase the anti-tank capability of recon tank battalions. A 90-mm anti-tank gun was planned to be mounted on the new vehicle. The project was eventually declined. The number of prototypes built is unknown.
The Spähpanzer SP I C leads to the HWK 12.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- The 90mm guns have 2nd best penetration and alpha for tier and class
- Fairly small, good for passive scouting
Cons:
- Reload on the 90mm is appalling
- Autoloader carries only 3 rounds per drum, and takes 20 seconds to reload
- Acceleration is sluggish, and top speed is a rarity
- 15mm armor max means everyone will shoot and pen - HE will ruin you
Performance
The SP 1 C is lackluster compared to its peers. It is not the fastest nor the most damaging, but the 90mm guns and the good gun depression spell out your role. The SP 1 C is a second-line, peek-a-boo support: hide behind solid cover (or solid teammates), wait until no enemies are looking in your direction, pop out and fire, and scuttle back before return fire comes in.
The autoloading 90mm is an interesting option, but not recommended. To fully use it you must expose yourself for 9 seconds, and with tissue paper for armor, as soon as you are spotted everyone's going to shoot you. The non-autoloader gives you time to drop from enemy's radar and mind, and so you are safe to pop out again.
Never go anywhere alone. You lack the dpm to challenge enemy lights, and your sluggish acceleration makes dodging and circling tricky.
