Commander Bio:
Gowron was originally an outsider in the politics of the Klingon Empire, but that quickly changed in 2367 when Chancellor K'mpac died. The Arbiter of Succession, Captain Picard, chose Gowron as the next Chancellor. His political opponents in the House of Duras were quick to confront him, but they were quickly defeated by Gowron after the federation revealed Romulan connections with House Duras.Gowron was a key player during the Cardassian war. Misled by an imposter, he sparked a new war with the federation, but he renewed the Khitomer Accords once the imposter was exposed. His efforts were crucial in the success of Operation Return, a turning point in the Dominion War.
