The AMX Chasseur de chars is a French tier 8 premium medium tank.
In 1946, the AMX company presented this design for a new vehicle. The powerful engine and light weight would have made the vehicle highly mobile, and the 90-mm gun was equipped with a mechanical ammunition system for a high rate of fire. However, the large dimensions of the vehicle, its thin armor, high cost, and the complexity of the design made it unappealing, and the project never advanced to a prototype.
The CDC is a rather interesting tank. While it was originally intended as a tank destroyer, in WoT it's more in place as a medium tank. The hard stats will lead you to believe that this is essentially a fat light tank - 35hp/t being one of the best in the game.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Above-average penetration for a Tier 8 medium tank
- Very high power to weight ratio
- Great gun depression, effective on hilly terrain
- High ammunition count
- Good credit-making ability for its price
Cons:
- Thin armor, very vulnerable to HE
- Low top speed limits the advantage of high hp/t
- Large size, bad camouflage
Performance
As it effectively has no armor at all, the AMX CDC demands a careful playstyle. Avoiding damage entirely through concealment and clever positioning and relocating is essential and brawls are to be avoided at all costs. Consider the CDC a lightly armed, turreted tank destroyer more than a medium tank.

None required, a premium tank comes elited.
