Enterprise — American special premium Tier VIII aircraft сarrier.
USS Enterprise, the second Yorktown-class carrier, played a role in raids on the Marshall Islands, in the Doolittle Raid, in the Battle of Midway, on the Santa Cruz Islands, and at Guadalcanal. After a major overhaul, the ship participated in virtually every campaign in the Pacific, with the exception of the Aleutian campaign. The aircraft carrier participated in the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. She also provided air support during the landings on Iwo Jima and Okinawa. The ship earned an impressive 20 battle stars throughout her years of service, which positioned her as the most decorated U.S. Navy ship of the war.
Enterprise first went on sale on both the NA and EU servers on 30 June 2017. She was re-released on for sale soon after Update 8.0, but has since been removed from sale.

Enterprise is one of the strongest Tier VIII aircraft carriers in the game, capable of outputting high amounts of damage on cruisers and battleships with her AP dive bombers and torpedo bombers, bullying destroyers with her large squadrons of attack aircraft, while also maintaining good vision control and air superiority with her large patrol squadrons.
Attack Aircraft:
One of the hallmarks of Enterprise's aviation wing is her unique attack aircraft squadron. It boasts one more attack flight per squad than Lexington for a total of 12 aircraft per squad. However, the squadron is comprised of Lexington's stock attack aircraft, meaning that they are slightly slower and have less hp than Lexington's. Perhaps more critically, they are armed with 127mm FFARs rather than the HVARs on Lexington's upgraded attack squadrons, meaning they can only penetrate 27mm of armor plating compared to the 33mm the HVARs can penetrate. This lowered penetration limits their usefulness against battleships of the same tier, making cruisers and destroyers their primary targets. The lower hp is compensated for by a lightning fast regeneration time of 49 seconds per aircraft compared to 66 seconds on Lexington.
Torpedo Bombers:
Enterprise's torpedo bombers follow much of the same trend of other American torpedo bombers, slow but with decent hp pools, with the torpedoes themselves having average damage paired with relatively low arming distance and speed. The torpedoes themselves are identical to Lexington's but the planes utilized are Lexington's stock torpedo aircraft, meaning that they are inferior in terms of speed and hp pools. However, much like the rest of Enterprise's squadrons, they have an improved regeneration rate of 60 seconds per aircraft compared to Lexington's 80 seconds. While weaker, they are still a good and reliable source of damage when other squadron types are unavailable as thy still drop the same number of torpedoes as Lexington. Their main targets should be battleships and cruisers.
Dive Bombers:
While other American aircraft carriers utilize high explosive bombs for their dive bomber squadrons, Enterprise has the unique distinction of being one of the only American carriers (Hornet being the other) to have AP dive bombers. While their individual damage is rather low as far as AP bombs go (4900 compared to 6200 on Shokaku and 7800 on August von Parseval), her squadrons drop 6 bombs per drop, constituting the highest number of AP bombs per drop and the highest AP bomb alpha strike in the game, beating even the tier X German aircraft carrier Manfred von Richthofen. Their high alpha damage makes them outright deadly against cruisers as well as Russian and German battleships that have more exposed citadels from the deck. However, they have relatively low penetration compared to AP bombs of the same tier, making their damage output inconsistent at best against battleships with layered deck armor such as American, British, and French battleships. Unlike Lexington's dive bombers, which are the bane of destroyers in her matchmaking bracket, Enterprise's dive bombers are ineffective against them as they are almost guaranteed to overpenetrate their thinly armored hulls. It should also be noted that Enterprise's dive bombers do not benefit from the same improved regeneration time of her other squadrons.
Patrol Fighters:
Enterprise gains a unique Patrol Fighter consumable on her squadrons that gives her an additional edge when it comes to controlling the skies over her contemporaries. While the fighters of most other tier VIII carriers have a patrol radius of 3 km with 5 fighters per squad, Enterprise's fighters boast a 3.5 km patrol radius with 10 fighters per squad. These large fighter squadrons enable the fighters of the Big E to obliterate enemy strike packages should they choose to linger for too long in their patrol zone and to also last for longer to spot enemy vessels even when under anti-aircraft fire.
Tips:
To maximize the chance of a citadel hit against heavily armored targets such as battleships with the low penetration of Enterprise's dive bombers, drop the bombs from the highest point possible to flatten their angle of impact.
Your dive bombers will require you to stay for long periods of time in AA fire to utilize and do not have improved regeneration, try to use them on isolated targets or stationary targets near islands.
The large size of your Patrol Fighter squads mean they will last longer under AA fire, use this to your advantage to spot enemy movements for your team by placing them near the max range of enemy AA guns or right over the top of a lone enemy destroyer. If done correctly, the patrol period will expire before enemy AA fire can even shoot down the entire squad.Pros:
- Very quick attack aircraft and torpedo bomber restoration time
- Good health pool for all plane types
- Patrol Fighter s deploy in numbers and with a range higher than all other Tier 8 aircraft carriers
- Attack aircraft deploy in very large squadrons - a single squadron can drop as many as four times in a row
- Dive bombers drop six (6) bombs per attack run
- Torpedo bombers drop three (3) torpedoes per attack run
- Powerful short and mid range AA suites
- Good ship speed and rudder shift time
Cons:
- Dive bombers use AP bombs, not as versatile as HE bombs used by other American aircraft carriers
- Individually, AP bombs have low damage and penetration
- Attack aircraft squadrons, having a large hitbox, are vulnerable to AA flak bursts
- Attack aircraft can only penetrate 27mm of armor, precluding their usefulness against battleships of the same or higher tier
- Torpedo bombers and dive bombers have poor speed
- Fragile ship hull with fairly bad concealment
- Long range AA suite is quite poor

Signals
As a carrier, Enterprise has no risk of detonating. India X-Ray (), Victor Lima (), and Juliet Whiskey Unaone () flags are recommended to increase fire and flooding chances. November Echo Setteseven () flags are also recommended to improve the ship’s anti-aircraft defenses and survivability of the strike aircraft squadrons against enemy fighters.
