Player Opinion
Pros:
- Eight (8) main battery guns, the highest count among Tier 6 destroyers
- High shell arcs allow Leone to shoot from behind islands
- Very good torpedo reload speed
- Torpedoes have long range and very low detectability
- The Smoke Generator
has a long emission time and the clouds last for long, like with USN destroyers
Cons:
- Small hitpoint pool
- Very large target with fragile modules
- Slow main battery traverse speed
- Very poor main battery rate of fire
- High shell drag, combined with high arcs, makes hitting targets at range difficult
- Very poor firing arcs, must show a near-full broadside to unmask all guns
- Torpedo speed and burst damage are low
- Virtually helpless against plane attacks
- Slow, with a base speed of 34 knots
- The Smoke Generator
has one less charge than standard (two stock, three maximum)
- Poor concealment
