König Albert — German special premium Tier III battleship.
SMS König Albert, a Kaiser-class battleship, was laid down as Ersatz Ägir and built at the Schichau shipyards in Danzig. The ship was named after King Albert of Saxony. From 1914 through 1916, as part of the High Seas Fleet, the battleship participated in covering raids and laying minefields. On May 29, 1916, just two days before the Battle of Jutland, the ship went to Wilhelmshaven for repairs, becoming the only German battleship to miss the renowned battle.

Player Opinion
Performance
König Albert is very similar to her Tier IV sister in that she has strong armor and strong guns. However, her guns reload slower and she has shorter range; being a tier lower, though, her guns are more than adequate. She has extremely tough armor and can take a beating from anything at her tier and even a tier above. The armor can reliably bounce 12" shells when angled and with over 40 thousand hit points, she has a large advantage over her Tier III peers. However, like most other battleships, she is slow and has slow acceleration and rudder shift, making her weak to destroyers (and especially unexpected torpedoes fired from stealth). Combined with her slow turret traverse, she is not good at flexing around the map, making planning ahead important, or one can easily wind up away from the fight and unable to affect the outcome.
