AL Yukikaze — Japanese special premium Tier VIII destroyer.

Famously known as the "Fortune Ship" for her achievements in the Great War. She's arrogant and believes that all her success is due to her ability. Gets upset when ignored and left alone. There is a rivalry between her and Shigure, although neither is sure why this is the case. From the game Azur Lane.

AL Yukikaze was first released for sale worldwide on 1 May 2019.

Player Opinion

Performance

Tier VIII Premium Japanese destroyer AL Yukikaze is a clone of Tier VIII tech tree destroyer Kagero with two major changes: she is locked into equipping the Type F3 torpedoes rather than offering captains a choice between the Type 90 mod. 1's or Type 93 mod. 2's as Kagero does, and she cannot equip the Torpedo Reload Booster  consumable. Fans of Kagero will find that AL Yukikaze offers them a slightly different, high-risk, high-reward play style.

In all other aspects, AL Yukikaze is identical to Kagero: speed, handling, detection... even down to her mediocre main battery and nearly complete lack of an AA suite. The Japanese torpedo-destroyer branch becomes challenging to excel in at high tiers, but like Kagero, AL Yukikaze provides all the tools necessary for captains to do just that; they need only bring patience and a willingness to learn how to handle her.

Pros:

Lowest detection range of all Tier VIII destroyers.
Fast, powerful torpedoes that hit like freight trains.
Good handling; same turning circle as her predecessors, quick rudder shift.

Cons:

Mediocre top speed of 35 knots.
Main battery is the typical sluggish, slow-reloading IJN DD guns.
Painfully long torpedo reload time without access to Torpedo Reload Booster .
AA is weak as the 127mm guns are not dual-purpose.

Torpedo Tubes Modification 1 further protects her tubes from incapacitation and adds 5 kts to torpedo speed. Aiming Systems Modification 1 and Main Battery Modification 2 help her weak artillery if a hybrid build is desired.

Commander Skills

As a premium ship, AL Yukikaze comes with Type 10 camouflage that lowers her detection radius, reduces the accuracy of incoming shells, reduces her repair costs, and increases the amount of experience she earns.

Signals

AL Yukikaze captains should mount standard signal flags to improve the ship's performance in battle. Sierra Mike () flags are highly recommended to increase the ship's top speed. November Foxtrot () and India Yankee () flags should be mounted to improve the ship's survivability. Lastly, economic and special signal flags can be mounted to increase the ship's economic gains per battle.
