Eastern Dragon — Japanese promo premium Tier VII cruiser.

A Ship Without a Country! Although the Eastern Dragon is based on the Japanese Myoko-class vessels, the ship itself is a non-national ship. It's a ship of its own "Dragon" nation, and can be crewed by other IJN commanders.

Player Opinion

Performance

Eastern Dragon performs exactly like the standard Myoko in the game (but without the ability to equip camouflage), and that means that she shares the same play style as the regular Myoko. You can refer to the article on Myoko for her performance appraisal.

Pros:

  • All the pros of the standard Myoko.
  • Comes with free Captain's Skills Points (depending on the event).
  • Japanese commanders can be trained on this ship- a versatile tier 7 premium.
  • The Dragon Captain can take the helm of Japanese ships

Cons:

  • All the cons of the standard Myoko.
  • Voice notifications of unique commander are in Japanese.

Research

As a special ship, Eastern Dragon doesn't have any upgrades to research.

Optimal Configuration

Upgrades

As this ship is basically a copy of the tech tree Myoko, the following recommended upgrades are the same:

Again, premium Damage Control Party is recommended in case the player finds their rudder knocked out in a precarious situation. Defensive Fire is recommended for players with an anti-air build and Hydroacoustic Search for those looking to counter and or hunt enemy destroyers.

Camouflage

Mounts the Eastern Dragon camouflage

Signals

As this ship is basically a copy of the tech tree Myoko, the following recommended signals for maximum effectiveness are the same. However, as it is a copy, players can experiment with different signals combinations.
